I recently enjoyed their Max (super) burger and delicious fries. The waitress served me and the plate was finished off in about 5 minutes. The French fries had their house seasoning on them and I vacuumed them first. The burger was especially meaty and filled me up. The pickles, bacon, and cheese (at no extra cost) made for a tasty secondary vacuum job. I highly recommend this entrée and this restaurant for anyone in the area who likes good food and good tuck-in.

The owner is a sexist ass. He told one his staff members that he was cutting her shifts because her not being single is slowing down his business and would constantly make remarks about our bodies. All he would talk about was sex in front of customers/staff. Very unprofessional.
Probably the worst person I've ever worked for.

Burgers and butter tarts.....yummy!!!!! Max's is a real hometown diner! Homemade everything right down to the beer. The burger was the best homemade burger(not frozen) I ate in a long time! Why are we getting gouged on burgers in the last few years 15-20 for a meat patty between a bun. It's time to start a burger revolution to bring sanity back to burger prices. And I starts a Max's $10 fir a burger and fries. This is no ordinary burger...8 true ounces of 100% ground chuck. And they are real shoe string fries..I guess not like McDonald's firs that the other reviewers wanted. I'll take real over processed any day. And to boot the homemade pies and butter tarts for road = perfect lunch!!! I will make a point of going out of my way just to go here! I give Max's a solid 5 stars

Maybe I ordered the wrong thing or maybe I just don't understand Canadian food. The fish and chips - fish was completely tasteless, though did have a nice crispy coating. Also, just a pet peeve, but fries and chips are not the same thing. And soggy, limp lukewarm fries were almost inedible. Seems to be frequented by mostly regulars, so maybe they know something I don't.
